Examples of Luminescent

Albino

Recessive [Visible]

Heterozygous
Non-Visible; Carried.

Albino does not show in a dragon's genotype until it's present in the dragon's lineage.

Albino is a mutation among the dragons of Palonian and is known to cause the coat of a dragon to lack pigment. This lack of pigment does not need to be complete, examples below show the maximum and minimum strength of Albino/Albinism among dragons. Similarly, you can choose Albino to be shown at maximum strength, which will cover all markings, resulting in a completely white dragon. However, you must either show all markings, or hide all markings. You cannot choose to show some markings and not others.Albino does not affect Luminescent or Iridescent.Albino masks all blood colors to red or pink [minus SolarScales], however any children the dragon has can optionally have the grandparent [albino dragon's parents] blood color if the child is not albino.

Dragons with Albinism can show pink through their coat. These tones can show on feet, muzzle, belly, wing-tip, and tail-tip with no additional marking needed. These tones are not required, however any tones used must be darker than the base color used. For GnarlHorns, Albinism does not effect the gemstones they have in their mane [aka they're normal colored!]For SolarScales, they keep their normal blood color, however it is desaturated. For Sentinels and SpiritWings, their Void portions remain dark regardless of gene.Below you can see the most saturated [and darkest] pinks you can use. These colors must be blended into the fur [aka gradient or airbrush, no hard lines!]

Albino cannot show shades of black, the absolute darkest shades you can possibly use are below. These colors can be used for markings that require black [ie: squid].

Albino Colors
Base colors should be selected from the sliders below, please take note of the base colors they're for! If you want to make a pure white dragon, ignore these!

Red

Orange

Yellow

Green

Blue

Purple

Blood Colors
Blood should be pink or red, the images below are some of the examples of colors, overall just use your best judgement not to make it too saturated or dark!
Pupils cannot be black.Dragons with the Dark Sclera mutation retain dark sclera, however their eyes do turn red.

When Albino and Melanistic appear together
When Albino and Melanistic appear together, they create a chimera effect where both coat mutations appear together on the dragon. This typically causes a patchwork effect, however it can also appear to split the dragon down the middle in half.
When both Melanistic and Albino are on a dragon, they create a noninheritable heterochromia effect on the dragon. If the coat color of the respective mutation is over a specific eye, the eye follows that mutation's coat colors [aka you cannot have melanism cover one eye and the eye follow albino color rules].
Albino and Melanism should be roughly 50/50 on the dragon regardless of how the gene is applied.
If the Albino area of the dragon is showing markings [or not showing them aka completely white] then the melanistic area of the dragon should also either show markings or completely hide them. They cannot show markings separately.

Chimerism

Chimerism is not inheritable
[Above is only an icon!]

Chimerism is a mutation where a dragon carries two different genotypes. This means the coat of the dragon becomes patchworked between the two genotypes.Chimerism can cause non inheritable heterochromia similar to Albino or Melanism. However, one genotype must go over each eye for this. The children of a dragon with Chimerism will be able to inherit any markings present on any genotype.Chimerism can be asymmetrical or symmetrical. If Chimerism is asymmetrical there must be two uploaded images, one for each side of the dragon.

For GnarlHorns, Chimerism gives them two different material types. For SolarScales, they can have two different tail feather and blood types. For Sentinels, they can have two different void area [ie: common and rare]

Chimerism allows patchwork results between the two genotypes. HOWEVER, it should be easy to tell what markings belong to what genotype. Holes in each genotype [in terms of patchwork] should be larger than the dragons foot [generally] to avoid confusion of what markings belong to which genotype.

Examples of Chimerism

INCORRECT EXAMPLES OF CHIMERISM

CORRECT EXAMPLES OF CHIMERISM

Chromatic

Recessive [Visible]

Heterozygous
Non-Visible; Carried.

Chromatic is an inheritable blood color regardless of the children's Chromatic visibility.

Chromatic is a mutation that affects the blood color of a dragon. This color overrides the normal blood color the dragon would have [aka the color they'd inherit from their parents -- minus GnarlHorns and SolarScales].This means if the parents have orange and blue blood, the children [with chromatic] can have purple [or any color] blood! The chosen color will be inheritable.

The chosen Chromatic color must cover all blood.Chromatic allows black or colored sclera even if the lineage doesn't have it.If Chimera is present, half of blood is inherited by the parent [based on where the markings cover on the body] and the other half is chromatic. If Heterochromia and Chromatic are present, you can pick one parental color and one other color [of your choice].Chromatic overrides the blood colors for Albino and Melanistic. However, for Albino the eyes must still be desaturated.

Double Horns

Recessive [Visible]

Heterozygous
Non-Visible; Carried.

Double Horn does not show in a dragon's genotype until it's present in the dragon's lineage.

A mutation that gives the dragon the horns of both parents. If both parents have the same horn type, a grandparent horn of a different type is chosen.Dragons with the Double Horn mutation have a greater chance of larger clutches.

Heterochromia

Recessive [Visible]

Heterozygous
Non-Visible; Carried.

Heterochromia does not show in a dragon's genotype until it's present in the dragon's lineage.

Heterochromia is a mutation that affects the eyes only. This does not give the dual blood mutation. Heterochromia gives the eyes an additional color with their normal blood color.Heterochromia can be any type such as: sectoral, total, central, ect.Heterochromia colors must be from the parent blood colors, if the parents have the same color a color may be taken from the grandparents. If a parent [or both] have heterochromia, the child may have any of the present colors.

A dragon with an Albino or Melanistic parent can choose the eye color from one of that dragon's grandparents. Should the Albino/Melanistic dragon not have grandparents, the color is grey.A dragon that inherits dark sclera or colored sclera and heterochromia may choose to have white in one eye's sclera and black [or color] in the other.A dragon with Heterochromia and Piebald, Squid, Koi, or any marking that can change eye color can choose a third color from the grandparents.

Melanism

Recessive [Visible]

Heterozygous
Non-Visible; Carried.

Melanism does not show in a dragon's genotype until it's present in the dragon's lineage.

Melanism is a mutation among the dragons of Palonian and is known to cause the coat of a dragon to overproduce pigment. This overproduction of pigment does not need to be complete, examples below show the maximum and minimum strength of Melanistic/Melanism among dragons. Similarly, you can choose Melanism to be shown at maximum strength, which will cover all markings, resulting in a completely black dragon. However, you must either show all markings, or hide all markings. You cannot choose to show some markings and not others.Melanism does not affect Luminescent or Iridescent.
Melanism masks all blood colors to brown or gold [minus SolarScales], however any children the dragon has can optionally have the grandparent [melanistic dragon's parents] blood color if the child is not melanistic.

For GnarlHorns Melanism does not effect the gemstones they have in their mane [aka they're normal colored!]For SolarScales, they keep their normal blood color, however it is saturated. For Sentinels and SpiritWings, their Void portions remain dark regardless of gene.

Melanism cannot show shades of white, the absolute lightest shades you can possibly use are below. These colors can be used for markings that require white [ie: piebald, whitesided].

Blood Colors
Blood should be brown or gold, the images below are some of the examples of colors, overall just use your best judgement not to make it too saturated or dark!

Dragons with the mutation retain light sclera, however their eyes do turn brown/gold.
